Known as Walmadany to its Jabirr Jabirr and Goolarabooloo Traditional Custodians, James Price Point is a breathtaking coastal headland on the Dampier Peninsula, roughly 50 kilometres north of Broome. Famous for its striking crimson pindan cliffs that drop dramatically onto pristine white beaches and turquoise ocean waters, this iconic location represents the raw, untouched beauty of the Kimberley region.
Beyond its vibrant landscape, James Price Point is a destination of immense ecological and cultural significance. From hosting the world's largest collection of ancient fossilised dinosaur footprints to serving as a migratory path for humpback whales, it offers travelers an unforgettable wild Australian escape.

- Vivid Red Pindan Cliffs: Take in the stunning color contrast of towering rust-red cliffs meeting white sands and the brilliant blue waters of the Indian Ocean—a photographer's dream at sunset.
- Ancient Dinosaur Footprints: Discover 130-million-year-old fossilised dinosaur tracks embedded in the intertidal sandstone reef. Recognised as part of the world's largest collection of dinosaur prints, these tracks hold deep Dreamtime significance as the footprints of Maralla (the Emu-man).
- Marine Wildlife & Whale Watching: Look out over the water to spot migrating humpback whales and their calves during the dry season, alongside sea turtles, dolphins, and stingrays.

Bucket List Tip: Timing is everything when searching for the dinosaur footprints—visit at absolute low tide! Wear sturdy water shoes to navigate the rocky reef safely. Because there are no facilities or water points at James Price Point, make sure your 4WD is fully self-sufficient with food, water, and fuel before leaving Broome.
